The Trinity is shown in the painting above. The angels flanking Mary are holding symbols: at the left a Tower, an Ark, several roses and a mirror, at the right a star (the 'stella matutina' or the 'stella maris', a lily and a vessel (probably one of the two vessels in the Litany of Loreto)
