Detail of Chapel 5. Construction began c.1516-1519; decoration completed in the 1520s. Sculptures and frescoes by Gaudenzio Ferrari and his studio. Ferrari may have been assisted by his son Gerolamo, Fermo Stello da Caravaggio, and perhaps also Giuseppe Giovenone.
