The building is one of oldest at Sacro Monte, transformed c. 1570. Stefani Perrone attributes sculptures to il Tabacchetti and an unknown artist and frescoes to Melchiorre d'Enrico with Tanzio da Varallo. De Biaggi attributes the frescoes to Domenico Alfano di Perugia circa 1599-1600.
