View of Chapel 44, made in imitation of Carlo Borromeo's personal room when staying at the Sacro Monte in the 16th C. Sculpture by Giuseppe Arrigoni in 1722. Original chapel was placed adjacent to the Sepulchre (Chapel 43) and was moved to the present location in 1945 with the addition of frescoes.
