Detail of Chapel 40 showing fresco. The frescoes remain from an earlier chapel (Christ Being Undressed) by Gaudenzio Ferrari. Ferrari's sculptures were transported to Chapel 32 c.1628. The current sculptural group by Giovanni d'Enrico (c. 1635-40) depicts the Pieta (not shown here).
