17th-century Pasticcio - the woman in the temple perhaps from a relief of Hero and Leander, 1st century AD, the sleeping furies c150-175 AD perhaps from Orestes and the furies in the temple of Apollo (cf. Aeschylus, Eumenides). The current composition represents Clytemnestra's call for revenge
